They look good, real good. We need some depth, obviously but I'm very hopeful for next year. All this without Ennis too, who seemingly everybody forgets has been our best player for 3 years and no longer has to be the best player. Get him and ROR healthy and let's see what we have going forward, I predict good things.

Seeing those 3 breakout like that was like "here comes the future" i could watch that line play together for the next 10 years and not be mad about it. Glad Kane is finally realizing his role with Jack and Sam. Hopefully they keep that line together the rest of the year and bring it in as #1 next year. Those guys are so fun to watch. The speed from Jack and Kane and the IQ of Sam and Jack(makes up for Kanes lack of) Makes me pitch a sweatpants teepee.

By the end of next year...
Last night's2nd line could easily be our 4th

Kane-O'Reilly-Reinhart
Eichel-STAMKOS-(draft pick)
Ennis-Girgensons-Bailey/Fasching
Foligno-Larsson-Gionta
Deslauriers
*hopefully have traded Moulson somehow (I know, just wishful thinking)

More assists than that scrub Miller ever got in his whole career in Buffalo!!

Blah...nm, my eyes failed me...I apparently looked at PO scoring for Miller. Miller had 9 assists as a Sabre

IMO you hit the nail on the head.
Hopefully Kane has realized that playing a team game and utilizing your teammates exceeds the throw 15 shots on net from anywhere mentality.
He seems to be willing to find those guys with a pass rather than an errand shot.
And, he seems to really like going into the paint as well, where the throw the puck on goal normally has good results.
For the 1st time all season I have hope that his game will come around.
I don't break that trio up for anything right now.
Let ROR develop some chemistry with Girgs and Ennis (hopefully he stays on track for a return soon).

How did he assist on that? Pass got deflected by Pysyk up in the air and then Jack to Sam. Does not make sense why he was credited.

Pretty sure it went off Johnson's stick and out to Eichel, at least that's what I thought I saw last night...now i gotta look again.

We had a line last year or the one before that worked pretty well in Girgensons-Ennis-Moulson. At one point I think that was our 1st line. So lets make that the 3rd for a bit if Ennis can come back and see what they can do together. Or put Ennis on that wing with ROR if he comes back as well and make that your 2nd line.

Last year Ennis had, I believe, 46 points and Moulson had 41. Between them they have 27 and we've done better. If you can get even one of them going again you're on the right path.

That being said, before Lehner got pulled we looked awful. That's 2 games in a row that they've come out flat. Almost looking like Rolston is trying to pump that team up to start the game. Both times they've responded well in the end but can't put yourself down like that every game and expect great results.

Imagine if we played every period like we did in the 3rd

I'm diggin the 9-15-23 combo and wouldn't break it up.
So, IF they are successful landing Stamkos...
ROR-Stamer-Ennis/Girgs/draft pick would be my preference...with emphasis on the draft pick.
That leaves Ennis and Girgensons as trade bait or to form a line with Bailey/Fasching as you noted

I cant find the full play on my phone. But from what i remember Pysyk was done on a knee, stick extended when it hit his stick went up in the air and the trio took off.

I really hoped he would find his chemistry with Jack. I'm still not convinced that he's the long term answer for Eichel's wing but if he can turn out to be that guy it'd be a big help. Bylsma's seeing what happens when you leave players together for a bit.
